I seriously love my TR Brides to pieces! I'm so grateful that I am able to forge a friendship with my sweet couples! They give me creative freedom as well as plenty of time to shoot what is needed to beautifully tell the story of their wedding day! However, there are so many things to remember on your wedding day, which brings me to today's post.
The Top Things Brides Typically Forget on Their Wedding Day
1. We need all the rings for detail shots first thing in the morning.
Don't go ahead and give the wedding bands to the best man, or don't travel offsite to get your hair and makeup done wearing your engagement ring. I need all three at the church to capture those gorgeous detail shots! I can shoot them later in the day, but you'll benefit greatly by having them ready first thing for me! You'll get a larger variety of detail shots and there will be gorgeous natural lighting available so that you can get those Pinterest-worthy images.
2. Have your bouquets delivered to wherever you're getting ready at.
In addition, make sure they are delivered by the time I will be shooting your details. Don't you love seeing photos of an engagement ring resting on a fluffy pink peony? Me too! But I'm unable to take those if your bouquet isn't available to me. Not to mention, we will need the bouquets available for bridesmaids pictures (which will be photographed before the ceremony). The same goes for boutonnieres!
Bonus Tip: Have your florist provide a few loose florals in addition to your bouquets. Having these available creates some gorgeous details shots!
3. Either mail me your invitation suite prior to the wedding or pack it in your bridal detail bag for the wedding day.
I LOVE photographing gorgeous invitation suites, but I have found that oftentimes brides forget to include this in their wedding detail bag. Having photographs of your invitations and other stationary truly helps us to tell the story of your wedding from start to finish!
4. Heelstoppers are your best friend!
When we head outside for those gorgeous natural lit portraits, I always recommend either wearing a pair of dainty flats or getting Heelstoppers for your heels. I love a pair of heels as much as the next girl, but they do tend to sink into the ground when we're taking photographs.
5. Soak in the moment.
You're wedding day is so fleeting! It will be here and gone before you can blink. So remember to take a breath, forget about the details, and savor those precious moments. Those moments will be the memories you cherish and talk about fifty years from now!
