WHY YOU SHOULD PRINT YOUR WEDDING IMAGES
Christopher and I got married on December 19, 2015. We received our wedding album in September of.....2017....nearly TWO YEARS after we said "I do." And this was not on my photographer. Our wedding photography collection came with digital files. As far as an album is concerned, I took the the same train of thought that many brides take, "I'll take care of it myself later." I just didn't realize it would be two years later. Truth be told, from what I hear, that is sooner then most brides take care of it.
Let us stop and think why we shell out so much money of wedding photographs. Is it so when the wedding is all said and done, we can make a new Facebook album or post a pretty picture on our spouse's birthday? Is is so we can all these digital files to sit on our computer for years to come? I hope not.
Truth be told, we have our wedding photographed because it is a VERY IMPORTANT day, some would argue that it's the most important day of your life! It's the day you pledge your love to your spouse. It's the day you gather and celebrate with friends and family- some you haven't seen in ages. It's one of the most memorable days of your life, and it's where your legacy begins.
Wedding photos increase in value over time. If you are newlywed, I am sure your photos mean a lot to you now, but think about what they will mean to you in ten years, twenty years, or fifty years. Time keeps moving forward, you will have babies, they will grow up, and life keeps going. Sometimes, that journey of life is difficult, and times get hard. When those tough time comes, those images will help you to remember why you started this journey in the first place. They will remind you of the joy and love you shared.
Your wedding photographs represent the beginning of your legacy. Imagine one day, perhaps fifty years from, you have beautiful granddaughter sitting on your knee. She is holding a wedding photograph in your hand. She's asking questions about that day. She comments on how you look like a princess. Imagine how special this will be. Imagine her seeing that picture and seeing the foundation of her family. Passing down an online wedding gallery of images or a CD isn't going to be a thing down the road. Let's face it, technology is constantly changing. But printed images stand the test of time. Framing photographs to hang on your wall, and having a beautiful album on your coffee table will always be a thing.
For my sweet TR Couples, I offer both printed images, gallery wrap canvases, and fine art linen albums. I can promise you won't regret having these. Years from now, you will be so happy to have these, and I can guarantee your children and grandchildren will be too.
